Crowns and Bridges
A crown is a long-lasting restoration made of strong state-of-the-art zirconium or ceramic materials. Crowns are performed when a single tooth requires extensive restorative treatment. Once the crown is completed, it will fully cover the tooth to protect it from further damage. Reasons why a tooth may need a crown include significant fracture or significant decay, esthetics purposes, or due to other related dental treatments such as root canal therapy or dental implants. Crowns are a fixed prosthetic because they are permanently cemented or bonded to the natural tooth
A bridge is a long-lasting full coverage restoration that can be used to help replace one or more missing teeth and is anchored to either natural teeth or dental implants. Crowns are made for the "anchor" teeth and/or dental implants which are connected together with the replacement crown(s) to fill in the space of the missing tooth or teeth. Similar to a single crown, bridges are made of the same durable zirconium or ceramic materials and are permanently cemented or bonded to the "anchor" teeth and/or dental implants once completed.
